Spotlight 13U Welland Junior Jackfish
Congratulations to the 13U Welland Junior Jackfish on their second place finish at the 13U 'C' OBA tournament in Welland this past weekend! The team battled all weekend in a tournament that featured some pretty epic games. All four of their last games required extra innings, or ended via walkoff, or both. A tip of the cap as well to the Ingersoll Ironbirds who handed this battle tested group their 3rd and 4th losses of the season to take the championship.
The Junior Jackfish silver medal at OBAs caps off a remarkable season that saw the team go undefeated in tournament play winning gold medals at the Pelham Summer Series, Saugeen Shores Battle at the Beach, Welland Mid-Summer Classic, CNE Pegg Cup and NDBA Playoff tournament in Niagara Falls. Way to go boys!
