9U Division Description

9U is an instructional and competitive division. 9U involves the use of a pitching machine in place of a pitcher. Batters are allowed 5 hittable pitches to put a ball in play. Standard baseball fielder positions are used with the addition of a second center fielder. 2 coaches from the defensive team are permitted on the field during gameplay. Most other baseball rules are used. On average 9U teams play 1 game and have 1 practice per week.

Game scores and standings are kept.

WMBA offers REP and SELECT programming in this division whenever feasible.
