Coaches VSC and Registration Guide

Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) Process

All Rep/Select/House League coaches must have a valid and up-to-date Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) on file with the Welland Minor Baseball Association for the current season.

Important Note:

VSCs are valid for three years. However, coaches must submit a VSC Attestation Form each year after the first year to confirm nothing has changed since the original submission.

Step One

If your VSC is valid (within 3 years of issue date):

Complete the VSC Attestation form included with this package only.

If you need to apply/renew your VSC:

Apply online, Niagara Police VSC Application: https://records.niagarapolice.ca/?primessp=BRC - Important when applying click on the "Unpaid Volunteer" button.

You can also visit your local Niagara Regional Police detachment in person.

When applying for the VSC, use the Volunteer Letter included in this package. Using the Volunteer letter ensures the volunteer rate ($25.00 plus an online fee) is applied, as only the volunteer rate is eligible for full reimbursement.

Step Two

If you’ve applied for a VSC, complete the Expense Reimbursement Form included in this package and email it, along with your receipt, to: accounts@wellandminorbaseball.ca and cc: greg@wellandminorbaseball.ca (rep) & mark@wellandminorbaseball.ca (house league/select)

Step Three

Upload the VSC or Attestation to your coach’s profile on RAMP (see coach registration via RAMP below); please send a confirmation email to: vsc@wellandminorbaseball.ca with the Subject: VSC/Attestation Uploaded. Include your name, division, and the password for your VSC document in the body of the email, if password-protected. If you don’t have a profile - see the Coach Registration via RAMP section in this package.

Coach Registration via RAMP

All coaches must be registered in the RAMP system to be officially added to a team roster, sign the coach waiver and upload any documents relevant to their team as required - including VSC, Attestation & NCCP number (NCCP is only required for REP/Select, not house league).

If you have not created a coaching profile in previous years, add yourself as a new registrant in your RAMP registration account to register as coach. If you have created a profile in previous years, please use that profile to official register for the 2026 season.

Follow these steps to register:

Step One

Visit the RAMP Registration Portal (https://www.rampregistrations.com/login?v3=b4af9d92) and log in. You can login using the same credentials used to register your player.

Step Two

Go to: Register > Coach/Staff Registration.

Step Three

a - Under “Choose Account Member to Register”, select your name.

b - First time coaching? Select “Add a new Account Member.”

Step Four

Complete the required information.

Step Five

Upload your Vulnerable Sector Check or attestation form to your profile

Step Six

Select the division you are coaching (e.g., 11U Rep, 11U, 11U Select).

Step Seven

Select your role: Head Coach or Assistant Coach.

Step Eight

Click Continue and finish the registration process.

Email Confirmation

Once you have registered as a coach and have uploaded the VSC or Attestation, please send a confirmation email to: vsc@wellandminorbaseball.ca with the Subject: VSC/Attestation Uploaded. Include your name, division, and the password for your VSC document in the body of the email, if password-protected.
